Outreach Ministries of the Parish
UNG Episcipal Campus Ministry: Father John and several parishioners support the student run group that meets on campus for a weekly dinner meeting. You can visit their webpage.
Piecemakers: Knitters gather in the Parish Hall every Wednesday from 10 a.m. – Noon to create blankets and other items that are then donated. Bring your knitting skills or willingness to learn.
Youth Project “Birthday Bags”: KYouth in the parish and their parents coordinate with Family Connections to provide bags with all the materials needed to bake a birthday cake. This means families are able to request help celebrating their beloved students birthday. We do this during the school year. The parish donates the cake mixes and other suplies needed.
Episcopal Outreach at the State and National Level
Episcopal Community Foundation for Middle and North Georgia
The ECF for Middle and North Georgia supports thriving, spiritually strong communities in the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta. Following Christ’s example and the tradition of The Episcopal Church, they partner with Episcopal communities in the Diocese of Atlanta by providing funding, leadership, and resources to enable Episcopalians to lift up people facing poverty and oppression and to achieve significant, long-lasting change in our communities. You can learn more or donate to ECF; to read more about their impact, view their Annual Report.
Episcopal Relief & Development
Episcopal Relief & Development works in collaboration with church partners and other local organizations to facilitate healthier, more fulfilling lives in communities that are struggling with hunger, poverty, disaster and disease. They also work around the world and here in the US responding to and rebuilding after disasters.
ERD’s unique expertise, experience and practical knowledge allow them to guide communities to lasting change with a focus on three key priorities: children, women, and climate. To donate or learn more.
