We are delighted you are considering coming to see St. Elizabeth’s. For ideas of times other than worship check out our newsletter and our service bulletin. The links are in the sidebar!
Every Sunday, 50-75 people of all ages and backgrounds gather for worship led by The Rev. John Hamilton in a casual and friendly setting on the outskirts of Dahlonega.
If you are looking for a welcoming and inclusive church home — or simply spending the weekend in the North Georgia mountains — we hope you’ll worship with us on Sunday morning. You’ll find Visitor parking spaces close to the door, ushers waiting inside to greet you and answer questions. Children attend the service and have a play area adjoining the service through open doors. Please know that children are always welcome to attend the service.
The service begins at 10:30 and lasts about an hour. We celebrate Holy Eucharist, also known as Communion, every Sunday and all are invited to receive either the sacraments or a blessing.
Our worship is liturgical. If you are unaccustomed to liturgical worship — no worries. You are free to simply watch or participate to the degree you feel comfortable. Our worship follows a round of prayers and ceremonies that has the wisdom of centuries behind it. Sight, hearing, movement an communal singing and prayer are all intended to open our hearts and understanding to the presence of God. Being nurtured in this worship often becomes the single most appreciated part of our life together by people who come here.
